I have a Susato A, which I like pretty well, don’t have a Dixon A, but i do have a Bb, which is quite nice. Low volume, but nice. I agree about Ethnic Wind–I own a D and a low G copper, and Nick Metcalf makes some dang nice whistles. He makes them in copper, aluminum, and even acrylic. His prices are fair, and the sounds are beautiful. My significant other got me the high D whistle, one of Nick’s painted copper, for Christmas, and it is gorgeous to look at as well as to listen to.
