I’ve tried maybe 6 or so various configurations of bore and material in Burkes.
The one I still own is the one I like best. It’s a black tip brass session bore.
It’s very well balanced in almost every way.

Well, it looks like the Burke D brass narrow bore may be on its way. Thanks to Blackhawk and alembic629 who picked up my inexpensive whistles and tune books.
Now, just have to wait until it gets here. Let’s hope it lives up to Dave’s review of it.

There I was, perfectly happy with my Burke Session…
Now I’m filled with doubts as to whether I should perhaps have bought the Narrow Bore instead… 
Perhaps I will have to buy the Narrow Bore as well so as to be sure.
Does no one have any thought for WHOA sufferers 
Doc has a bunch of used Burkes right now for sale, both brass and aluminum in several keys.
Mike has a 30 day return policy. Why not order both the narrow bore and the session bore, decide which one you like best, and send the other back?

I really like the Burke narrow bore. How much of a stretch is the fingering on the low D? I’m 71 and my fingers don’t stretch like they used to.

I’ve read several comments about how well folks love their Burke composite low A’s. Does anyone have a composite low G?
I’d been thinking about a composite low F, but lucked out on a super deal on an Alba (thanks crookedtune!!). Of course, the limits of my WHOA knows few bounds, and I don’t own a Burke yet, so thought that a composite low G would be a good place to start. 
Anyone have one? What do you think?
