I’ve done a search on the web and the list with no success. Anybody here have the notation to the Silly Wizard tune. “When Summer Ends”. It is a beautiful piece and I would like to learn it.

I don’t have the notation for it, but it didn’t take long for me to learn it by ear.

Please excuse the apparent diversion, but I mistook the tune title in the posting for John Fahey’s wistful 
tune “When The Spring Time Comes Again” which never fails to do a number on me, much in the same manner as “Some Summer Day”, both of which are on the Takoma CD “Death Chants, Breakdowns and Military Waltzes.” Not to mention that nearly every tune on the CD is on it twice, once in the original (ca. 1962) version and once in the re-worked (ca. 1967) version. This, in turn caused me to wonder if any C & F folks have had much success ‘whistling along’ with any of (Saint) John’s stuff. I have made some (very) meagre progress with his “Hawaiian Two Step” (F Whistle?) and the Epsicopal Hymn, but that’s about it.
All of which is to say, I miss this guy. I suspect his astounding key changes raise some issues for whistle playing, but I am now in over my head so will let it go at that.
Best to you and apologies for straying form the topic. I’m gonna try to get that Lewis and Clark CD, for sure–speaking of at least one other guy who wrestled with some heavy-duty demons in the course of a still remarkable life.
