When should I start?

I have a project that I need to complete today so that I can give a presentation on this project tomorrow. Because of last minute changes, I won’t even be able to get the boss’ seal of approval on my work, so imma gonna have to read her mind. I have no idea how long this is going to take me to complete. The weather is nice.

When should I start?

tuesday

my hearty bleeds for you, dude. It’s half-past seven on Sunday evening and I’m in the office, having spent eleven hours here yesterday. I don’t usually work weekends. It’s a big go-live database conversion. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have a stinking head cold. And when I look on Facebook people keep posting pictures of the wedding I had to miss.

Still, I have my trusty bone-flute with me and I’m practising the Bear Dance.

But you remind me of a story of two guys working on the same computer application which had to be ready the next day. They decided it would be quickest if they worked separately from their homes, so they pooled as much information as they could and both pulled all-nighters. The next day the system was ready and working!

Only… one guy had organised all his programs to say “Add” and “Change”, and the other guy had organized all his programs to say “Create” and “Amend”. And they worked on the initial letters.

Hey, I feel your pain too. Pretty much, what I am working on is making things say “Create” and “Change” so that both programmers can feel equal and there can be one unified filing system.

Have a cup of tea.

start at the last minute, if ya like working under pressure… and expect changes to everything ya do anyway… then its Tuesday like BD said

I could tell you when to start but not right now…

The first part of a two part project is done. Yeah!

I got it done last night in time to watch MadMen.

OK now, show your boss and then do it all over again with her changes (guidance) and then turn in the correctly done project on Tuesday

(whatever happened to measure twice, cut once??? Seems there’s always time to do a project wrong twice, but, never enough time to do it right once)
