For what it’s worth, there are a few tunes called “Siobhan O’Donnell’s” (she’s a fine flute player by the way), but I don’t think any were composed by her…the one that’s most commonly known by that name is a jig composed by John Brady; John Skelton calls it McIntyre’s Fancy, which if memory serves correctly is the original name that Brady put on it.

The one I was after is actually the reel in A; I’ve heard it tucked into a Lunasa set, Dervish’s “Green Mountain” set, and into the middle of a big set that wrapped up that radio concert Peter Laban was in – but I’ve never been able to find the name.

I don’t think Siobhan “inspired” these tunes; I’m pretty sure they’re all tunes that various people have learned from her, and then given the tunes the name “Siobhan O’Donnell’s” since she was the source and didn’t have a name for them herself.
