If you stuck on an Island and only allowed to bring 5 whistles which ones would you choose.
Is this a desert island, or one in a temperate climate?
I’m going to assume a desert island in the Carribean or similar latitude.
That rules out high maintainance wooden whistles, so I’d choose -
Dixon G - I love the sound
Susato Dublin D - something about this white & black whistle pleases me immensely, more than the all black Kildare.
Generation nickel high G - for ear piercing screeches to call down parrots into my Waldco Parrot -Trapper-and-Solar-Powered-Slow-Cooker, and also when I want to do primal screams.
Generation Bb Nickel - I could hammer it flat and use it for a mirror for signalling to passing ships
The lowest Goldie Overton I could get - I could use it to spear fish, dislodge bananas and coconuts, and blow really low booming notes as a distress signal
Well, Martin, I’m gonna assume a goodly supply of oil and choose woodies anyway.

I’ll bring my Bleazey boxwood flute, so no need for a low-D. (It only violates the spirit of the law, not the letter of the law.)
To play Robinson, 5 whistles are too much. Unzen.
I’ll keep it simple, frugal. Bare bones. Just one Abell–the Low C.
I suppose the island will give me time to learn it.
And too far away to worry if my check bounces 
I’d bring my Water Weasel to play and if i could spare the extra $, one of the Village Smithies, to use as a weapon.
