Hey guys… I’m going to visit some family out in the Portland Area… What’s a whistling fool to do in the area… Any cool stores… I can’t drive all the way to Song of the Sea… 
So close but so far away… Any other cool shops, sessions, etc.?
Oh… I’ll be hanging in Boston too for a couple days… That’s where I went to college…

Head down to the Old Port part of town. Gritty McDuff’s is a great brewpub. Don’t know if they have sessions, but you never know. There are a lot of interesting shops in the Old Port, and you can always head up to Freeport to LLBean and tons of outlet stores if you’re into that sort of thing. Eat lobstah!! Look into boat rides/cruises in the area, possibly whale watches. I’ll bet a Google search of “Portland Maine tourism” will find tons of good stuff. Have fun-- it’s a great area.
