The first one in both these clips. It sounds familiar.

What took you so long?
Thanks.
whats the whistler playing in the first video?
sounds ace, nice woodey tone.
Looks like a Susato Bb to me. ABS plastic.
famous for possesing a woodey sound?, Or am i being made a spectral fool of by the fact its 2 tones flatter then what im used to?
Well yes, actually … with the right embouchure, and depending on the particular head. In fact, the Susato C and Bb (S-bore) are two of my all-time favorite whistles of any kind.
It’s actually a Generation Bb, look carefully, around 3:07… It’s nickel.
You’re right, Az, it’s a Gen blue top. And in the 2nd clip, too.
I thought I saw the characteristic Susato “finial” bulge at the bell. But it’s only an illusion.
The Susato C and Bb are still nice whistles. ![]()
On a related subject (since the clips are of Vinnie Kilduff): does anyone have a copy of the tutorial cassette that Vinnie Kilduff made years ago of tunes played on whistle? It’s called Whistle Wizardry, and appears to have never been re-released on CD. It seems to have been intended as an advanced tutorial. Has anyone heard it? I’d be interested in a copy or a recording of it if anyone has it.
