I make terrific vegetarian chili with eggplant. 
Grey Larsen wrote the Tin Whistle Tutor, which told me all kinds of things I really really wanted to learn. Ornamentation, phrasing, everything. If you’re wanting to know Everything, I’d say that’s the best. It’s only by reading his books that I avoid asking really basic beginner questions here.

I have the Bill Ochs whistle tutor and Grey Larsen’s Essential Flute/Whistle Guide. The Larsen book is wonderfully technical and detailed about the history of the instruments, how to hold the whistle and about how to play ornamentation, but I think the Ochs book is more accessible overall - though less comprehensive. I am playing tunes from the Ochs book on both whistle and flute, but I turn to the Larsen book for in-depth explanations of stuff.
Ochs was great for learning to play the whistle.
When I wanted to learn to play ITM, I moved on.
I live in Texas..if I made veggie chili, they’d kick me out

I’ve got the Bill Och’s book. I haven’t tried others but I like it.
I’ve had a lot of good chili. The best chili is that which slowly starts to heat you up from the inside. Not mouth burning but like a little furnace. With venison is excellent.
Which one does the chilli? Can you get the chilli if you’re not into low whistles?

Bill Ochs and my husband Ron. Ron makes the most awesome Venison Chili on the earth! The guys he works with keep paying him to make more and bring it to work for them. Now theres a testimonial! I think he might arrange to do overnight shipping if anyone wants a taste!! He also makes these things called “Chicken from hell”. Its a hollowed out Jalepeno pepper stuffed with chicken and wrapped in bacon which is then slowly smoked. This is why our marriage is holding together for going on 30 years!
