In defense of Peter there is a lot to be said for the basic whistles. I’m guessing in Ireland they have so much music going on that they don’t get preoccupied with different whistles…the focus is the music, here in the states I think we spend more time talking about whistles rather than playing them. I’ve got a bunch of high end whistles but wind up playing an old Clarke(bent in the middle) and a Burke composite the most
