Noticed a few times that Mr Keenan has something fixed to the top of his chanter ,but could never get a good look at it !! Does anyone know what it is and does it somehow help in his playing ??

Could be a stop valve (blocks off the flow of air through the chanter)
The last time I saw him, It looked like he had a kitchen rag stuffed in the top of the chanter cap… I filmed that concert and sent it to a few of you guys. Did any of you notice that… Mark??? Joseph??? Anyone???
When I saw him in September he had a little leprechauny fairy toy (or something similar) on top of his chanter. He said that his daughter gave it to him as a present.
