I saw a job ad a couple days ago for a computer tech support person that has this written:
“Wanted. Hard working, diversity minded person wanted… etc”
What the heck do they mean by “Diversity minded”? I’ve seen this buzzword more and more in the corporate setting and so far it seems the definition depends on who says it. It appears to be gaining ground as a substitute for older reverse discrimination terminology like “affirmative action”.
Any ideas?
“Diversity minded” = “willing to embrace virtual teaming with associates in Pakistan and India.”

here it means "willing to work with those that are not “similar” to you.
Or it could mean “able to work with idiots and be able to take it”.
But I think in job adds it’s a way of saying all the “we do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, etc…” in a lot less space.
Someone who didn’t go to University.

Or at least be able to fake it, like Robin Williams or Eddie Murphy,
I thought that was diversely minded… 
It means that only disabled black Jewish lesbians need apply.
(Yes, I’m allowed to say that because I am one…kinda…)

So this means that as a project manager I should let my project team actually be included in the meetings. So, in other words, the senior programmer should be involved no matter what? Well DUH!!!
