What a great DAY! Off topic mostly but humor me!

Today was just a joy!

To start with the weather in North Dakota is dreamy. It reached 69 degrees. I got my whole house cleaned with all the windows open. Beautiful! If this is the last hurrah before winter I’ll survive!

I just installed Windows 98 SE to my computer. All by myself! And I say “Neener, Neener” to my brother-in-law, Rob, the electrical engineer. I didn’t need you! I also got my computer to recognize my new Rocket Ebook. And I installed new software that includes 5000 classic books to my computer and then to my Ebook.

If this wasn’t enough I got a lovely set of emails from Stan Stahl with some fun and helpful flute sites…

Ah life is good. OK, I’m easy to please. Here’s hoping things are well with you and all yours out in Chiff and Fipple Land.

Hi Mary

Glad you had a good day. I had one too, as follows:

It’s my Mum’s birthday - she’s in hospital (a long way from me in the UK), getting slightly better and I remembered to send the flowers.

Even though the tourist season ‘closed’ here in Adare, several tourists came into the shop today and some bought things!

I went to my first Comhaltas concert - as was the 50th anniversary special, they had about 20 very well known solo Irish musicians on stage (plus bands and dancers) and I heard some real virtuoso playing of the pipes, accordian, fiddle and (natch) flute and whistle.

While I was at the concert, I bought 50 copies of a book of flute tunes by the Irish composer John Brady (he’s written for the Chieftans & Sharon Shannon etc) and then confirmed the sale of them all, to guy in the US.

I’m now not ready to sleep and have it end - it’s currently nearly 1am here!

It was a simple enough day - but, like you, I’m easily pleased. too.
