So I had an “ah ha” moment the other day when I was wondering why I seem to clog every whistle I play within each tune. I think my mouth has been trained by some kind of Pavlovian response when I stick an instrument in it to secrete more saliva than normal. Where as this seemed to be a postive evolutionary trait when I played saxophone, unfortunately, it sucks (no pun intended) to have to do just that during a tune just to have a clear tone that doesn’t sound like a person gargling before death.
Anyone else play saxophone, as well and have the same kind of problem?
But then again…maybe this is all just a coincidence.
