It arrived this morning from the Whistle Shop! I was like a kid watching the UPS man walk down the driveway! Wow, it sounds beautiful…compared to the Waltons D I had.
What a difference. Well as most of you know I am hunting for another whistle already. I am making a custom wooden(curly maple)rack to store them. It will hang on the wall. Sorta like a rack for japanese swords.
Oh, roy, you may have a huge market for racks like that on this board!
(Just make a student-priced version as well!!)
I have a regular Dixon Soprano D and I JUST LOVE IT!!! If your new whistle sounds anything like mine does…you surely must be in Whistlers Heaven!!! The tone is so pure and it is so effortless to use. A rank beginner…I can even make a tune sound halfway decent. I can only imagine what it would sound like in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing!! I know what you mean about your Walton whistle…I have an Acorn and a Feadog and there is no comparison.
Have to giggle over your scenerio of the UPS guy!! I just LOVE it when that big brown truck pulls up!!!
