Welcome to the board, Joanie!

It’s great to see that you’ve been looking around here.

Welcome Joannie

I would like to say that I am your biggest fan, of you and Cherish the Ladies, but if said that, I think that a long friedlly thread of postings would develop on this wonderful message board.

Thank you for giving us the go ahead to learn and play your music. And one of the few tunes that I learned is “The Star above the garter.” Just love CTH’s arrangement.

Your music is a joy in this household for listening and learning.

OMG!

“OUR” Joanie!!??!! Now here is truly a celebrity on our board!(sorry Cinead)

Joanie you are an inspiration to all of us.

PS Your rendition of “the Otter’s Holt” is

Hello, Joanie!

I had a great time at the Gavin’s gig in July. The “dads’” were a real treat. Please continue to drag them kicking and screaming back on the stage. Thanks.

Glad to see you picked up Marie in the band; theres no fiddle player around that could be more solid than Marie. That makes four gals in the band that play whistle (that I know about, Mary and Donna might play a mean whistle, but I’d never know). If you don’t mind me asking, what are the chances of a future recorded tune with four whistles going at the same time?

Thanks also for doing a couple of sets on Tom Dunn’s ‘Musical Memories.’ I got the CD because Joe “banjo” Burke is a personal hero for me. I was really glad to hear you on those sets. They may be some of your least known sets, but they are up there with your best.

Cheers.

Thanks for the welcome I really appreciate it! I’ve been a big fan of Dale’s for a long, long, time! You guys are over the top with the compliments - but thanks anyway.

Looking forward to stopping back in between our travels!
