Weird. When you think about it.

I’m sure you guys have made this observation, but it just occurred to me that the general discussion forum (the Pub) on this board about traditional music is primarily devoted to astronomy.

I stopped trying to explain things like this to my friends and family long ago.

Everything can be explained by physics.

I think the universe is quite traditional.

Consider a spherical whistler in a vacuum . . .

I will only look at the Pillars of Creation if I cover up the third pillar.

I don’t consider that really a part of the Eagle nebula. Carl Sagan never looked at that part.

Wierd, what do mean?
It makes sense to me.

Yes, but which would be the third one?

I remember when the Pub topics used to include beer, cheese, and bubble wrap. How on Earth could we have exhausted those?

I didn’t think it was weird at first.
Then I thought about it.

Depends on which session of the astronomy convention you attend.

I thought by now everyone knew to use bubble wrap to ship their beercheese.

space… the final frontier… to go…

It depends on the view: front or rear . . .

And then there’s that.

Zombies don’t get a word of support around these here parts.

I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles… oh, yeah!

At the time, some people suggested that this song was influenced by drugs, to which Pete Townshend replied (IIRC) “No. It’s just about a man with particularly good eyesight.”

I love The Who no matter how far out in space they are.

Cyberspace, inter-galactical space, drug induced (enhanced  ) space, parking space… weird isn’t it. Astronomical.

And we were all

like, “Yeah, whatever…”.

Townshend had contributed some great rock & roll quotes. My favorite, regarding Eddie Van Halen: “That incredible virtuosity combined with that beautiful grin allows me to almost forgive him for letting David Lee Roth stand in front of him.”
