I know it might sound a stupid question, but could somebody please measure a Feadog Brass D for me - I need to know how long it is?
The thing is, I ordered it online and have to wait about 2 weeks untill it is delivered. Meanwhile I was going to make myself a new bag for spring (sewing bags, purses, etc. is kind of one of my little hobbies) and thought that I’d probably would like to carry my whistle in the bag as soon as I have it And I haven’t even seen whistles but on the pictures as they are not sold where I live…so I only approximately can imagine how long they are
With your whistle bag - always leave a few millimetres extra in case you need to extend the headpeice for tuning - I’t can be annoying having to re-tune the whistle every time.
Regarding tuning and other things with a Feadog - check “Engineering Department - Tweaking inexpesive whistles”" link on Dales C&F main page is has tips for improving the Feadog a little - My Feadog has only the “tunable-head” and “wax fill” adjustment and sounds much more in tune and better sounding! I enjoy playing my Feadog - I think they are great whistles!
