I think with any major astronomical occurrence there are bound to many groups that come forth with their own agendas.
However, I would choose to focus on it being a chance to affect positive change…to use it as an opportunity for a group effort to put forth healing and love to the world. To try to release fear and cynicism. To try to approach the world with love rather than hate. The smallest act of one person can spread ripples through a pond, and affect many.
Apparently, previous Venus transits have been times of breakthroughs in communication:
Magellan planned his around the world passage during a Venus Transit, which ultimately proved the world was not flat. Postal systems were first inaugurated during Venus Transits, advancing mass communication. The first astronomical worldwide scientific experiment, based on viewing the “eclipse” of Venus from many vantage points around the world occurred during the Transit itself. The Suffragette Movement emerged as a force during the last Venus Transit.

So, in my eyes, this would be the perfect time to try to be more aware of the way we communicate with ourselves and the world around us… to try to improve our interactions, and to be more conscious of the way we choose to use our voice…starting with those closest to us, and spreading that vibration outward.

Has some one done a statistical analysis with defined criteria to prove this speculation?
The answer I think is no.
We seem to be moving into a new dark age of belief in baseless superstition and easily disprovable conspiracy theories.
Science allowed us to escape the heavy hand of religious mumbo jumbo and look with new eyes on the miracle of the universe.
All this seems to have been in vain.
Because it takes some effort to equip yourself with the necessary tools to understand the world as it is, the new age adherents can’t be bothered and would rather have simple pretty ideas, than the truth.
