Warning about an e-bay seller

In an effort to lookout for my fellow C&Fers I’m posting a little public service announcement:

Please be careful when bidding on items being auctioned by e-bay seller “uilleannone”. I recently bid on and won an M&E flute from this person.

Unfortunately, there have been some problems, not the least of which is the fact that the flute’s tuning slide is so loose that it’s no longer tunable, in fact it’s basically unplayable without repair or Teflon tape.

Also, this individual didn’t note in the ad that the flute was used, which it clearly is.

The seller also didn’t ship the item when promised (even though I payed him within an hour of the auction close)

I’m certainly partially responsible for my own misery because I bid on this item at the last minute without being able to ask the seller about the condition ahead of time. Also, had I checked aheard of time (which I’ve always done in the past), I would have seen that 25% of the sellers feedback is negative.

Never the less, selling an instrument in this condition without disclosure is VERY bad form.

So there you have it, Buyer beware of Uilleannone on e-bay.
