Hi I am interested in buying a C set or C sharp set by a reputable maker . 3/4 or full. Will be at WC week if anyone is thinking of selling? Please let me know if you hear of anything.
Thanks!

Go through the list of makers here for a quote on price and time

Make a note of the maker of any you see at Willy Week that you particularly like
Also look especially at those closest to your location

At other events, pipemakers who attend bring one or two of their own sets with them for sale there and then. You might also have pipers with a set to sell. I don’t know if it’s like this at WCSS. Maybe someone who has been to WCSS can chime in?
If this does happen at WCSS, you should bring along your cash. Nothing influences negotiations like a large brick of bank notes (particularly towards the end of a hectic week in West Clare).
Check out the C-pitched chanter that Tommy Martin has just offered for sale:
WCSS - Aye, there are usually one or two makers with pipes on display in a back room at the lunch time concerts, and available to try out. Not sure whether they are available for purchase there and then; rather, orders being taken.
If you ask around, there are also one or two 2nd hand sets for sale, most in need of quite a bit of work on them but still worth looking at. Finbar McLaughlin usually has a set or two for sale, though I have never seen his pipes on display, as above. Sound great too.
You could put a card up in the NPU Shop, as well as the SSch notice board adjacent, in the lobby.

Hi Zoltan,
where about do you live? Concluding from your name you are from Hungary?
Maybe not there and then, but towards the end of the week …
Hi Zoltan, I have a set in C for sale. Made by Andreas Rogge using coco-bolo and boxwood. Regulator keys are gold plated. In perfect condition. Email me at aidobrien1@yahoo.co.uk if you would like any further details.
