Wanted: Albert Alfonso Bodhran

Hi,

Anyone have a 16" tuneable Albert Alfonso Bodhran that they are not playing and would like to sell?
If interested, please e-mail. (erinman@peoplepc.com)
Thanks

Erinman, I think you’ll find bodhrans by Michael Vignoles comparable to the Alfonso drums and are a great deal cheaper. I’ve played both and find the Vignoles drums to be exceptional and no where near the price of Alfonso. He has developed a new tuning mechanism, totally hidden within the rim of the drum that is really innovative. It makes the drum so much lighter. The Alfonso drums are also quite heavy, don’t know if you’ve played one or not. Anyway, good luck. Vignoles has a website I think you can find it on the web by looking up his name. Brad

you might also want to check Steve Forman’s bodhrans. They’re somewhat similar to Alfonso’s drums but I find the sound much clearer with a nice natural bass tone.
