It’s a tradition here on the Chiff board to celebrate round number of posts. Other boards have other traditions and rituals. There are enough nasty folks making snide comments, or engaged in flame wars, or even worse in other parts of the Internet that some harmless celebration and humor can only be to the good.
I still remember a time on this board when 1000 posts commanded much respect and 4000 seemed unreachable for a human being.
