Trolling for suggestions on where to go, what to do, what to (or not to) eat, where are the sessions and karaoke bars, nude beaches, and “coffee shops”.
Just a few Copenhagen suggestions, depending on your interests. Nyhavn is the port area with lots of outdoor cafes and pubs, and very scenic; the canal boat tours are good; and you can visit the Carlsberg brewery. A couple of my favourites were the statue of the Little Mermaid which is on a rock in the harbour, across from the modern Opera House, and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Look up Copenhagen tourism for more info than you could want. It’s a wonderful city.
If you´re in town on a Sunday afternoon, then you´ll find the session at a bar called “Bloomsday” on Neils Hemmingsensgade, which is pretty much right in the middle of Copenhagen. Starts at three.
Funny Story. At lunch at work one day, one of my friends was talking about how her college-aged daughter wanted to go to Amsterdam. I finally said, you do know why she wants to go to Amsterdam, don’t you? She didn’t. I told her. That trip got canceled fast. Gosh parents are stupid.
