Visit to John Sindt...

Hi all-- just paid a visit to John Sindt to learn more about the art/craft of whistlemaking, and hope to post a more complete report in C&F soon.
For now, suffice it to say that he is indeed as nice as everyone says. For all of you on his waiting list, I can attest to the fact that he IS working feverishly on your whistles, and that they will be well worth the wait.

Oh, please do post a report. I love touring places like that, and have tentative plans to visit Ralph Sweet’s place on my next trip to New England, this summer. Come to think of it, the Sindts are right on the way, too.

I’d also like to read that report. Thanks for the update. I’ve spoken to his wife before and she’s very pleasant. From what I also understand, John also likes to dance. In addition, he has a job and then does his whistles. A very busy fellow. They also live in a very pretty part of upstate New York.
Thanks for the info!

I believe John makes scientific instruments
for a university. Wouldn’t it be nice
to have technical skills like that and
also to make whistles? His wife is
indeed a lovely person, too.
