Since the whistle is my only wind instrument, I have no background in how to do vibrato. I’ve learned the finger-style, but it seems to work on only a few notes – those where you have at least 3 holes open – G,A,B. Of those, I can get a decent vibrato on G and A, but cannot on B since it requires the ring finger on my left hand and the index finger on my right to work in sync, which they will not do!
Is the finger-style vibrato possible on other notes? How???
try tipping the G note, if on a low whistle the best way seams to be too use your bottom hand F finger moved up on to the g hole .
tipping/hitting the G hole with your top hand gets some getting used too though

All you should need is your left ring finger. That works pretty well for me. Another (less “traditional”) method is to trill on the edge of the hole right below the one you’re playing. The cool thing about this is you can vary the amount of wow-wow-wow by how much of the hole you cover.
