Very OT "Find the hidden bird"

We had this arriving in our email tonight and had to post it…

Ha!!! That’s a good one, very funny!!

Loren

Poor bird

That’s exactly what my cat would look like to, if I let him eat as much as he wanted of everything he wanted… piggy, piggy, piggy…

Loren, you have to post one of your German Shepherd, titled, “What happened to the kitty?” (Or one of you, same title.)
Tony

Very scary Tony, we were both thinking along the same lines…

Loren

Oh, THAT’S attractive, JessieK.

Reminds me of my cat.

Of course, with my cat, you just walk out on the porch to find a mess of feathers, a beak, 2 bird feet, and maybe a wing or two…

Actually, I find that about as amusing as a picture of a dog carrying a dead cat in its jaws. Hmmm…not a bad idea. Hey, Loren. Can I borrow that German Shepherd?

Lovely, Tyghress.

I don’t find the picture I posted attractive or amusing, but I do find it poignant. The cat is elegant and it is a striking image to see and be reminded that as refined as I like to think she is, she is still an animal with primal urges. And it is a real version of the funny image that Brigitte posted.

Real tigers eat other animals, you know.

But they don’t post pics of themselves doing it

I swear, some of you people have sticks so far up your arses!

Ever seen the Animal Planet channel?

I used to have a cat that would string out entrails of mice and baby bunnies all over the porch. You’d smell the raw rat meat when you walked out the front door of a morning. Cats are interesting animals nonetheless.

Uhg!!! There goes my lunch!

This cat topic is beginning to remind me of the lab topic.

I guess cats can do some unsophisticated things as well.

…and then they turn their noses up at canned food, as if to say “I’m above touching that.”

We tried to put our cat on a diet, but he wound up supplementing quite a bit outside. We had to put him back on full crunchies before he wreaked too much havoc.

JessieK, it’s one thing to see it on the television (and I have watched Animal Planet) but it’s an entirely diffrent story to have to scrape up bird guts off the porch and vacuum up feather so your mother won’t make you get rid of your cat.

I’m sorry, but I don’t like playing with raw bird guts. It’s just frikkin gross, and I don’t have a “stick up my ass” as you put it.

Um, yeah, I don’t like animal guts, either. Did you see any in the picture I posted?

And furthermore, for those who might think otherwise, I save birds and mice from cats, yell at cats to keep them away from little critters, and take said critters to far away places so they will be less likely to get killed by said cats.

How did this become a freakin’ moral issue???

Do you get mad at people who post pictures of September 11th? Do you think that posting such pictures implies support of the tragic acts? I mean, come on!!!

J

I’m not mad. Can’t speak for everyone else. They may be, from the sound of things.

JessieK,
I’m w/ you. How can someone be offended by that pic? That’s the way a cat behaves. 'course people potty-train their cats too like they’re little people.
Personally I thought it was cute. He brought you a present (which is probably how the cat actually thinks about it (how do I know what a cat thinks?)).
Anyway, I wouldn’t chase them off of little critters either, but I am a heretic after all.
