Venus Just After Sunset

She got her V upside down.

I thought it was a flock of swans migrating.

Only if it was over Oak Ridge, TN.

ya might want to catch 'er right before sunrise then…

I didn’t think swan were allowed in that airspace.

…because the glow would be distracting, yes.

Now, now, they’ve cleaned up most of that stuff, it’s in somebody else’s yard now. We eat fish from the Clinch River and there’s hardly any hint of mercury. :really:

Oh, c’mon. Everyone knows they’re not swans. They’re Herciniae.

Herciniae became extinct in the 16th century. They were a species specific insectivore and preyed on a specific fly that only fed on _Bos primigenius_Aurochs. When Auroch populations crashed in the mid to late 1500s due to over-harvesting by Eastern Europeans, likely Slovaks, there weren’t enough flies to keep the Herciniae alive. This is well documented in the International Cryptid Ecology Journal.

Yes, that’s the common wisdom. Yet there they are. Tsk.

It’s also common knowledge they weren’t migratory. :boggle:

Funny what we find out, isn’t it.
