Hey guys,

So after waiting too long, I am finally trying to really spend time learning how to adjust, fix and upkeep my pipes properly. I live in Ohio so the weather is all over the place, and more often then not I have to just put my pipes away. I was wondering where you get a couple things;

Hemp thread
Reed making supplies (a kit would be awesome)
Reed cane (chanter and drones)

As stated already, I have chanter cane and drone cane. I am fully stocked from previous year’s harvests and have all different size diameters from super small drone cane (2mm) up to huge chanter cane (bigger than 30mm). I get my drone cane from a friend who grows and seasons it himself. It is excellent stuff!

If anyone would like to try 2 free sample tubes (chanter or drone), all you need to do pay for shipping (usually $4 in the US and $7 internationally). I want my cane can to speak for itself.

Joseph did not mention, that he still offers boxes with quarter and half tube pieces of cane. I received one of these boxes recently and the cane is great. It is a lot softer than the Spanish cane I tried before. I would say, it is perfect for a beginner who starts with reedmaking (like me). I would only suggest, that you buy a circle template, because the box contains also pieces for flat pitched chanters.

I was going to make a direct post in the near future with descriptions and pictures but since it was brought up.

I am, in fact, still selling boxes of cane pieces however I am using US Postal medium flat rate boxes for orders here in the states. See pictures:

I counted the pieces from this pictured box before I sent it out and it was about 160 pieces (varying sizes and diameters).

In the US, I am charging $40 total which includes the $11.25 shipping rate for the box.

Internationally, I am using a different box because Priority boxes are really expensive to ship internationally. I will post pictures of this box and cane later.

I really think this is a great way to get a lot of cane for not a lot of money, and honestly it allows me to sell cane that normally I wouldn’t or couldn’t sell.
