Someone I know (not me) received a criminal scam letter, by US Mail. It was sent from Canada. What would be the proper authority to report this to?
I think it really depends on the kind of scam..whas this a chain letter? An advance-fee fraud (419) latter? Was it a real letter or email?
This site lists all the usual suspects, but I can’t tell you which is appropriate without seeing the letter.
I would take it into a U.S. Post Office and show it to them, I would consider it to be mail fraud.
