I have been recieving unsolicited requests from a Pipe Maker to try his pipes and inviting me to become a cutomer of his!!
I have already ordered a practice set of pipes and do not like recieving unsolicited offers to buy any particular makers pipes.
Is it a normal procedure on this forum that pipe makers use the Private Messages facility to tout thier wares and generally be a pain in the arse?
Anyone else getting these messages or am I just being targetted for posting my opinions?
I get lot’s of unsolicited email… I just delete it.
O,K. You pipemakers- start sending me your pipes (free of charge of course!) for a free extended trial period!

When I was with a warpipe band, I used to get all manner of unsolicited email adverts for piping gear - almost always from one or two companies in Pakistan.
It was enjoyable reading their English - always so well-mannered, in an obsequious way, and I’d get a good laugh of it.
But after awhile, it became tedious, as I’d never done any business with them, and had no interest in receiving their offerings.
A brief, but polite one-time response was all it took, requesting that they remove my address from their list, and reminded them not to contact me again. I added that I had saved their e-mail address, and if ever I wanted to contact them, I could do so.
End of problem.
