I want to pass on some info about a great whistle case I purchased thru ebay. The case was made by a fellow member of the C&F community (Amy). She currently has 2 more cases available on ebay (in the musical instrument, woodwinds list).
The case is for low whistles (mine is the current home for my O’Riordan Low D), and is truely (imho) a worthy home for the pride of my collection.
The case is made of 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe with a cap on the bottom, and removeable cap on the top. The pipe is lined with a flanel-like material and in cushioned top and bottom. The whole case is covered with a heavy tapestry material and has a matching carrying strap (looks almost like a fancy medevil quiver). Amy has a much better description, and very helpful photos on her ebay posting.
Everywhere I take my case I get attention and admiring comments, and my whistle is well protected.
