Unabashed solicitation for used baby and toddler clothes

If anyone is done having babies, I am just getting started. This one’s a girl. If you feel like sending me leftovers, I would happily accept.

You needed to ask me about 12 years ago, when my 4th child defied the pattern and came out a boy.

For those clothes beyond what you get from people here, check out your local children’s consignment shops. I’ve gotten most of my kids clothes from them, and usually they are in fine condition, especially for infants and toddlers. Most also will give you store credit which is often more than they will give you in cash, if you consign outgrown clothes there. Then you can use it on future purchases. It’s been a great deal for us, I’ve saved a lot of money on clothes this way, considering we don’t have a lot of relatives who will give clothes as gifts.

Jessie, I sent you a PM. I literally have boxes of beautiful almost new baby girl clothes, newborn to 12 months.

I’ll concur. Such shops were very useful to me when my kids were small.

There are always garage sales too. Check the newspaper. But be aware that a garage sale that lists “baby clothes” in its ad tends to get a lot of people pretty early in the day. Almost like a hoard of locusts at our last garage sale!

My youngest is 10, the infant stuff is long gone.

Thanks, everyone. Lynda, thank you very much.

I had a baby shower yesterday (I feel about 80 years old in my limbs today - man, I hate stairs now) and we have 5 car seats!!!

Hee hee.

Great! You’re all set for quintuplets!

You’ll need more cars.
