the first one is a new one - “Cè” by Cè
with devin mcCabe on fiddle, concertina and with Asher Gray on flute.
I think it’s a very nice cd with a good trad.sound
and also a web site at http://www.cemusic.org/
the second one is called “Mancunion Way” by Cèile
and I only know that it’s from 1999 but no idea about
the components of this group. Nice flute playing in it…
can anyone help me for this?
Thanks Tom,
from your link I started some researches and the name of Ged Stenson came up as the most probable flute player of the group.
This formation seems to be very young too.
(this link is also identical and connected to the precedent http://website.lineone.net/~folkbuzz/Blank%20Page%201.htm )
well, thinking and thinking about young irish groups..
do you ever heard about DeLos? what’s happend to them?
“Ce” looks like a pretty entertaining group. Good name, too.
Their flute player has got a nice mid-Glam-era-Bowie coiffure going in some of the band’s publicity shots. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Nice to see another lefty flute player as well.
I played a couple of sessions with Asher and his crew in Milwaukee last month, including a small late nite (or early AM) session at a place called Paddy’s or Patty’s (or both). He is indeed a brilliant young player. He also plays the pluckies pretty darn well. Haven’t heard the CD, but I’ll bet it tops.
