would it be possible to make a set of drones in a way that allows them to be tuned in two different pitches, say B and Bb? Or will drone performance suffer?
Any drones should be able to handle playing in two keys that are only a half-step apart, but asking for keys that are a whole-step or more apart may lead to problems of stability.

My Britton drones can do both D and C. But, obviously the D sounds alot better and play with more stability. The C still sounds and plays well though.
