Steve Turner recently posted some clips of himself playing. I’d like to get the notation for one of the tunes, “The Priest and His Boots” I have been unsuccessfull looking for it on the web. Does anyone know of a source?

I haven’t heard Steve ppaying it but the priest and his boots is a Micho Russell tune, which I think is in one of the Ceol rinnce na hEirreann collections, vol 2 would be my guess.
Hello Anima,
Glad you like ‘The Priest and His Boots’
I got the tune out of ‘Music of Ireland - The Big Session’ collection edited by David J Taylor (ISBN 1 899512 29 2).
If you have any difficulties in obtaining this book, give me a shout, and write down my own particular version of the tune, with various suggestions for variations and such.
All the best,
Steve

This link is to JC’s ABC Tune Finder which offers a whole flock of priests with their boots…one of them is bound to fit !!!
There’s also a lone priest with his boots to be found on page 47 of my O’Neill’s [edited by Krassen 1976]
