Tunes from Kerry

I am looking for tunes from Co. Kerry.
I know the following tunes which I like:
Dingle Regatta
St. Mary’s
Tralee Gaol

Are there others reflecting a certain Kerry flavour, perhaps but not necessarily associated with places.
Or is this a silly quest of mine?

Is Church Street from Kerry?
Its on the first Chieftain album, together in a set with St. Mary’s.

Are polkas especially associated with Kerry?

As a side question: how easy is it to identify the origins of a tune, in particular Irish tunes by county?
Can the character give away its original location?

Thanks for any help in this!

You cannot go by tune names to necessarily ascertain where a tune comes from. Just because someone puts a name on a tune doesn’t mean that the people from that place have even heard of the tune before. Tunes have multiple names, depending on what day of the week it is and what phase the moon is in. Lots of polkas and slides were danced in Kerry, so every second polka is called the Kerry Polka - its easier than trying to give them all a distinct name.

The only way to be sure what tunes are from where is to listen to players from a specific area to know what they play.
