Tune request help "The Rusty Gulley"

I have tried many primary and secondary Trad sites looking for the tune “The Rusty Gulley,” but with no luck.

Does anybody have it or no its were abouts in any format. Preferably I would like it in ABC.

I also did an extensive Google search with no luck. Plenty of listing for the tune on recordings but no ABC.

It is a Northumbrian tune and that’s all I know of it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Mark

I’ve got it in my head. Give me a few and I’ll try to generate an ABC.

What follows (assuming I can paste ABC successfully) is all the notes, but with the rhythms straight. The tune is a 3-2 hornpipe, and certain bars have dotted eight-sixteenth-eighth rhythms. I’ve made an MP3, I’ll post it as soon as I figure out how.

Wow! Thanks Sol!

Mick and Lynne and I and others will be happy to have this. Laura, a fiddler gave us this tune last night. She learned it at Goderich this past summer. But for some reason we were all having trouble with the rhythmn of it, the way she played it.

She learned it slightly off from a hornpipe and when she played the second part it was almost a time signature change. It didn’t feel right.

I will pass the links on to Mick.

Again thanks a lot.

I learned the tune the same time Laura did, in Nancy Kerr’s class in Goderich. Tell her I said hi.

Sherry and I work on the tune last night and it works, we got the timing and the speed. A little different from an Irish hornpipe but nice all the same.

And I will let Laura know I heard from you.
