Tune ID

I’ve woken up this morning with a tune stuck in my head that I can’t identify…and its maddening me!

Its a jig and goes something like (upper case low octave / lower case second octave)

EAA EAA / BAB (GG)A /Bee edB / def ggg /

EAA EAA / BAB (GG)A /Bee edB / dBA (AAA)

Can someone put me out of my misery!!!

Just a guess.

Lilting banshee, Miller of Glanmire, Ballinasloe fair, etc. etc. As common as muck as the multiplicity of names would suggest.

That fourth bar of yours is a bit frequently borrowed from the turn, best used as a variation I would say. A more conventional fourth bar would be dBA GED

See the comments section for alternative fourth bars.

Lilting Banshee was what I had in my head…thanks chaps!!!
