Hey guys. I can almost always either find a tune somewhere on the net or pick it up by ear. However, on this one i’m stumped. I’ve seen it titled on two cds as “The Panda”. Here is a link to a recording of the song played on flute by Mr. Sylvain Barou:

On his sight it was titled as Gan Ainm but it i believe might be a mistake because the gan ainm i’m familiar with is a 9/8 g major tune. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, William
To my knowledge,the term ‘gan ainm’ literally means ‘without name’,and is applied to tunes when the ‘correct’ tune name is unknown.I put ‘correct’ in inverted commas,as you will no doubt know that some tunes can have a bewildering number of local names! An example of a ‘gan ainm’ opens Mary Bergin’s 'Feadoga stain’album; ‘Ril gan ainm’-‘the nameless reel’.So,this means there are lots of ‘gan ainms’ out there-it isn’t a specific tune.

These are the basic notes in the tune - however, I’m no expert on ABC, so I’m (yet again) relying on someone more knowledgable to translate my scratchings into workable ABC… Good luck! (I have no idea what the tune is called - I don’t think I’ve ever heard it before… And I’m assuming that the first tune on the track is the one you’re looking for.)

Im not an abc reader so i went to http://www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html and converted it there. It turned out great. I’m pretty sure the name of the tune is “The Panda”. Thanks again.
