Does anyone know the name of the air that preceeds “Job of Journeywork” on the Chieftains 8 (and Best of) albumn? It is beautiful, and it seems too distantly related to Job of Journeywork to be just a slow variation… but stranger things have been heard in ITRAD!

Dunno about the name, but I think the notes for it are in the Best of… book
“Martin Fay starts off the set with superb fiddle playing of an air related to the popular set dance, “The Job of Journeywork.” The rest of the band takes up the theme and moves into the main tune with great gusto.”
I think whoever wrote the liner notes for that Chieftains album should be forced to unwrap shrinkwrapped CDs till the end of his/her days. :roll:
