My daughter just picked up a virus identified, as far as I can tell, only as Trojan Horse. Is there anything free that could remove it?

I recently used the trendmicro site to remove four trojans successfully.
AVG kicks ass. It’s what we use here. Along with zone alarm, adaware, and spybot. Makes things easy.
