Trip To Andy's Front Hall

While on a business trip in Albany the last few days I made sure to visit Andy’s which is close by in Voorheesville. I got to mess with all the whistles and picked out two really great surprises. A terrific matte gray with wierd red plastic fipple Water Weasle A. This is a great A whistle. I also took home a wild looking Kerry low D that also happens to sound good and play easily. This may be a good one for those of you with reach limitations. Big black pastic head joint and a paint job on the tube that has to be seen to be believed. The fact that it plays so well is pure gravy! Also just got from Steve at Shana Quay a Seery soprano D and a improved Feadog; still messing with both. Philo

Andy’s is great.
If you ever return there in the Spring through Fall, ask them for directions to fairly nearby Thacher State Park, and take a walk/hike on the Indian Ladder trail, and along the top of the escapment. Some gorgeous views.

Thanks; I haven’t climbed or hiked in some time and miss it. Philo
