That’s very good work there Cran.
You’ve got a good eye for an angle.
Keep up the good work
Slan,
D.
It might be two trees planted very close together, like two lovers embraced to eternity.
Cranberry, be a good lad and write 'em some lyrics to recount their story of love to the world.
Cran, your pictures are beautiful! You really do take wonderful pictures

Delightful thought there Hylde
Cran,
Why don’t ye have a go at a few lyrics, as Hylde suggests.
I mean you never know what might happen.
After all, One door closes, another opens

I’ll third the suggestion. Just set your pencil to paper and “free Flow” your thoughts. You’ll be surprised what you can come up with.
… edited to change a redundant word
It really is! What a romantic thing to think about…maybe the trees were planted by 2 people that were very much in love, but they knew there would be no way they could be together. So they decided to plant the trees. They put them close together so that even if they couldn’t be together, the trees would show that in spirit they always would be, for all eternity, and that their love would just continue to grow together forever. SIGH!!!
Oh, Cran, you really do have to write lyrics for it now.

Yes, do, like Izzy, I am now taken in by her suggestion and story line.
Nice pics Cran. I love Spring.

Ok then, I wrote some lyrics but I am using my better judgement not to post them all. I don’t want to get in trouble with Dale.
I can not share most of it, but here is the last part of what I wrote:
Yet down below, in the heart of the warm bark
A colossal wooden slit has opened—
Pouring forth femininity for all to smell
I knew there was a bit of the Poet in you Cran.
I can’t see Dale having a problem with Poetry, he likes some pretty far out stuff himself
Keep it up Cran, it’s all valid.
Slan,
D.

I know I’m a poet (I’m a poet before I’m a photographer), but I am not a lyricist.
Splittin’ hairs there Bro.
Poems, verses, stanzas, lyrics…
Granted, they all have a very specific meanings, but outside the academic world they boil down to much the same thing really.

When green buds all were swellin’
Sweet William on his deathbed lay
For love of Barbr’y Allen”

Great pictures, cran - and cool words from a guy who claimed not to do lyrics.
Is there any way of kicking Amar out of this thread? I just see the potential for grubbiness if your fine work falls into the wrong hands.

They clem and they clumb on the old church tower
Till they could not reach no higher,
They tied at the top in a true love’s knot,
The red rose around the greenbriar.
