i think that’s actually a typo. virtually all dutch verbs have infinitives that end in -en. schrappen, literally, means “to cross out.” same difference of course. i suppose i’m probably not the only person who’s surprised that people in other languages misspell words, too. my church bulletin is in three languages and i’m always running across typos. it’s kind of a hobby–probably my most harmless. i think we know our english spelling system is completely goofed up, so we set higher standards for people whose languages are more phonetically spelled. :roll:

Not to be contrary Glauber, but I beleive “bereikbaar” actually translates closer to “futile”, hence:
