Have the ABC’s and the other forms, but what is the easiest and fastest way to transcribe music? I.E. D to Bb to Amin etc.

I dunno about most ABC programs, but Barfly will transcribe for you: it’s in the tools menu.

I agree entirely. I use it a lot, even though I also have Finale Allegro, since so many tunes on the web are already in ABC. Otherwise I would have to type everything into Finale.

I too use Finale. Great program and easy.

Yep. I use it especially when I want “pretty” music staves, like for the tune book I do for my annual SummerTunes workshop. You have a bit more control over the appearance.

I don’t do anything in grand staff or orchestral arrangements, or even (usually) voices, but it’s more than capable of handling them.
