Trad vs. contemporary headjoints

I need some input on the pros/cons of trad vs. contemporary wooden headjoints. The exterior esthetics aside, what are the implications of interior construction for the player? Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks, Brian! A good start. Any fluters out there playing contemporary headjoints? I’d like some personal input, too.

I’d also like additional info on the nature of eccentric bores (yes, I’ve already looked in the mirror today). I was under the assumption that they were only suitable for Boehm-configured instruments…
