It’s been 40 years but still worth a read, one of the greatest speeches of all time in my opinion.
True–if that doesn’t move you, nothing will. As U2 later sang about him, “Free at last, they took your life, they could not take your pride.”
If you ever get a chance, read his Letters from the Birmingham Jail also.
RANDO - I agree about greatest speech of all time. And I thank you for posting this tribute. It is something well worth all of our rememberances.
I am not a religeous person, but everytime I hear an excerpt, or read from it, I am prompted to respond with a hearty: AMEN!
Dr. King was a truly great human being and his dignified and brave call for respect, and true equality will never get old.
Let us all strive to keep his dream alive until we finally do reach the “promised land”.
