Could someone please,please measure your bones(the musical ones)and
post the measurments here? I want to make a pair and I don’t have a model.I tried to make a pair just looking at a photo of someone playing them,but they turned out too heavy,and I think they’re too short too.
I don’t know how curved to make them,either.

Mine (one of the larger sets of real bones I have seen, they are split and carved from the shin bone of an ox) measure 7" long, 7/8 inches wide abd 1/4" thick at the widest.
When I hold them together at the middle, the ends on each end leave a gap of 7/8" measured on the inside of the gap.
I wanted to give you an answer but I can’t find where the dog’s buried mine.
Bones come in many different sizes. I’d say most are from 6 1/2 to 8 1/2 inches long. About 7 3/4" long is pretty normal. About 3/8" thick with a curve of 3/8" is pretty common. That is, if you lay a bone on a table on its tips (the middle curving up off the table), the highest part of the bone would be about 3/4" off the top of the table, the bone would be about 3/8" thick, and the space under the bone in the very middle would be about 3/8". Width is usually between 3/4" and 1 1/4", 1" being pretty common.
