Title Request - Slow march/air/tune

Okay…this one is a stumper…

Bobby Gardiner played at session here a few weeks ago, and played what I would call (please note the disclaimer) a slow march. It was enchanting, and will not be too difficult to learn. But I have no way to track down its title. Its very stately and regal…I don’t think its a lament of any sort and may be suitable for a processional.

I’m not ABC literate, and don’t have much of the tune figured out yet, but here are the clues I can offer:
the beginning of it: BC AB GDBG (where the last three notes all go down, and the length of the notes are long-short long-short long long long long)

Key of G.

Two part

Second part (I think) dCBAG g degdB that first high g is held, and the d right after it is short…

I truly apologize for the sketchiness of the data and my sophmoric attempt to describe it, but I’m at wits end (no comment from anyone who claims that I had none to begin with) but there is the drink of your choice when next we meet for the first person to successfully ID this tune. I tried doing a contour search, and didn’t find it.

It’s The Old (or Da Auld) Resting Chair, composed by the late Shetland fiddler, Tom Anderson.

A stroll, maybe?

It didn’t ring a bell, but there are so many slow airs. Ask him, maybe? Good luck.

(Oh, i see you already got an answer, good!)

whoooooo hoooooooo! Steve, I owe you! and that was QUICK!

Glauber, I tried searching for email, as Bobby went back to Ireland the next day, but couldn’t find any. My next shot would be to buy his CDs in reverse order, hoping that he recorded it. I’ve found that the folks here (or for lyrics I go to www.mudcats.org) are very helpful and awfully quick.
